About Me
Kelly Current was born in Garland, Texas on Super Bowl Sunday. She lived most of her childhood in Iowa, but graduated from Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas. She Joined the Army following the 9/11 attacks, deployed overseas to South Korea at Camp Stanley for 15 months, and two tours in Iraq that earned her spurs and combat veteran status. She enlisted as a petroleum specialist and thankfully was placed in aviation with 571st Medivac Unit.
After four years of honorable service, she decided to pursue her dream of cooking. She attended The Culinary Institute of America in New York. She cooked at a yacht club for a couple years then chose Texas Woman’s University to continue her schooling to become a Registered Dietitian. She now works as a Clinical Nutrition Manager, RDN LD, at Hunt Regional Hospital, in Greenville, TX. She wants nothing more than to help make members of the community and world, happy, healthy individuals. She is blessed to be living and loving life everyday with her sweetheart and her daughter. They have a rescue dog, Jack, and a cat named Garfield. She is so thrilled to be able to continue her mission of helping others through Twin Rotors Mission.
