About Me
Emily Brown was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She spent her younger years riding and showing horses. Her father served in the Army, and she grew up listening to war stories told by her grandfather. Following high school, she took a two-year break before returning to college to attend nursing school. She graduated as an LPN in 2007. She spent the next several years in nursing taking care of pediatric patients. In 2009 she met her husband, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, who deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism and the Iraqi Campaign. They moved to Texas in 2014 shortly after adding two girls to the family. Her husband, Matt, started working with horses shortly after. In 2014 she began a career as a psychiatric nurse at Glen Oaks Hospital in Greenville, TX. She has continued in the Psychiatric field ever since in one capacity or another ever since.
The family returned to Pennsylvania in 2019 where they decided the winters were too much. So they went back to Texas in 2021, and started back up with horses. At this time, they found Twin Rotors Mission® in which they began attending Equine Therapy sessions. She is thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful organization and give back to those who gave so much. Emily shares in the responsibility of caring for their six horses, (including the minis), Ruger, Jake, Derringer, Tobi, Shadow and Clyde.
